God’s mighty power saves sinners, heals the sick, delivers the oppressed, fills believers with the Holy Spirit, and works supernatural signs and wonders today. These sermons show from Scripture that God’s power is real, active, and available to those who trust and obey His Word.

God is all-powerful! No true believer in Him doubts that. But what is less widely understood is that God is willing to impart His power into the lives and ministries of those who love and serve Him. If you desire to see more of the power of God in your life and your service to Him, I invite you to explore the sermons below that I’ve written over the years on the availability and working of God’s power among His faithful people. I am confident that His Word can cause your faith to grow and help you experience the power of God operating more fully in your life and ministry.
In more than 50 years of Pentecostal ministry, I have seen again and again that the power of God described in the Bible is not merely something from the distant past. I have personally witnessed God save lives, heal the sick, deliver people from demonic oppression, fill believers with the Holy Spirit, and work through spiritual gifts. I have learned that we should never substitute human ability, programs, or methods for the power of the Holy Spirit. I am also encouraged to see that many of the most-read pages on this website are studies concerning the power of God. Readers from around the world continue to seek biblical teaching about God’s power, healing, deliverance, the Holy Spirit, and supernatural ministry. Jesus promised His followers, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you” (Acts 1:8). I believe that promise remains wonderfully true for Christians today.
The Bible reveals God as all-powerful and shows His power at work in creation, salvation, healing, deliverance, miracles, and changed lives. Scripture also teaches that God empowers believers through the Holy Spirit to serve Him and bear witness to Jesus Christ.
Yes. The Bible teaches that the power of the Holy Spirit, including His supernatural gifts, remains available to believers today. Jesus promised His followers power from the Holy Spirit, and the New Testament presents Spirit-empowered ministry as part of normal Christian life and service.
Christians should seek God in faith, prayer, obedience to His Word, and dependence upon the Holy Spirit. Seek and walk in the power of the biblical baptism of the Holy Spirit. Jesus specifically told His followers that they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them (Acts 1:8).
Yes. God has not ceased to be the healer and miracle-working God revealed in Scripture. I have personally witnessed divine healings and other supernatural works of God during more than 50 years of Pentecostal ministry.
God’s power is not given for personal prestige or self-exaltation. He empowers believers to witness for Jesus Christ, minister to others, exercise spiritual gifts, overcome the works of the enemy, and accomplish His purposes in the world.
