Pastor Jim Feeney, Ph.D., has over 50 years' experience in Pentecostal ministry. He has served as a church planter, pastor, and Bible College teacher and Dean in Alaska, New York, and Oregon. Jim shares about his personal spiritual journey here.
Jim earned his B.A. in English from Boston College (Honors Program), began graduate study at the University of Pittsburgh, then earned an MBA from Santa Clara University and a Ph.D. in Church Administration from Trinity Theological Seminary. He has also earned Theology credits from Wheaton College Graduate School. Jim has at times held professional membership in both the Evangelical Theological Society (currently) and the Society for Pentecostal Studies.
Jim's doctoral dissertation was "The Formulation and Sending Out of Church-planting Teams from the Local Church." It became an inspiration for and the core philosophy of Dr. Berin Gilfillan's ISOM — the International School of Ministry. ISOM has become the world's largest video Bible school, in 85 languages, 150 nations, and more than 20,000 teaching locations worldwide. Jim teaches the Church Planting course in trimester 3 of the video curriculum.
After 31 years of full-time ministry, he retired in 2006 to devote more time to his family and to building this website, which includes hundreds of his past and current sermons and Bible studies.
